Expectations from client
Mr. Zinedine wanted to replace the slow, generic WordPress templates used across Algeria with a tailored platform for shop owners, and to monetize it through commissions.

What I delivered
Complete marketplace with buyer/seller flows, auth system, shipping/payment handling, moderation panel, email verification, and deployment-ready architecture.
Problem
Students at USTHB had no dedicated platform to buy and sell among themselves. Existing solutions were generic, not student-friendly, and lacked trust features like verification and moderation.
Solution
I designed and built a custom marketplace tailored for the university environment. Buyer/seller logic with separate flows, real auth with email verification, shipping and payment handling adapted to local constraints (cash on delivery), and a moderation system to maintain trust between users.
Process
Mapped out the full user journey for both buyers and sellers. Built a clean schema to handle listings, transactions, and user roles. Frontend focused on mobile-first responsive design since most students browse on phones. Iterated on the shipping/payment flow based on local delivery realities in Algiers.
Outcome
Unimarket became the go-to platform for students at USTHB. Users praised the simplicity and speed. The platform proved that a focused, well-executed product beats generic alternatives.
What the client said
“You made me feel genuinely comfortable. I'm really glad to work with you, everything I asked for was delivered perfectly, with extra details, and in exceptional time.”
